Virtue signaling in public is a net loss for organizations.

The good will generated is short-lived. People who feel wronged are more passionately vengeful than the ones who support you leading to a net downside.

This is pure hypothesis without any backing data.

Develop the ability to distinguish between speed and illusion of speed.

Developing nations should do everything to promote the sharing economy.

It is unique leverage for the masses, which leads to unlocking of opportunities as well as productivity gain for the ordinary people.

This will lead to a spurt in economic growth.

A question I see repeatedly is - “What is that ONE thing that lead to <WHATEVER>?”

It is usually a combination of multiple things; not “ONE” thing.

Never advice unless: \1. Someone explicitly asks for it. \2. You are paid to do so.

When someone comes to you with a problem, if your default reaction is to put the onus on them to solve it, slowly people will stop coming to you.

Letting go of control is as important as being in control.

Be judicious with what you want to control.

If you help someone, you are doing it because it makes you happy. Same goes for the opposite.

As long as these actions move the world in a positive direction, all is good.

What you are and what the world perceives you are - are two different things.

If you do not agree with how the world sees you, do not blame the world but yourself.

A useful heuristic to figure out whether a food is good or not is to sense how you feel after eating.

If you feel like shit after consuming something, probably it is not suitable for you.

Workplaces should ban political discussions.

Political debates are never about understanding others point of view but more about reinforcing already held beliefs.

Also, it is easy to be mean if these debates happen over asynchronous discussion forums rather than face to face.

All the flowery eulogies that people shower on dead people, if they had done it when they were alive, it would probably have made a difference to their lives.

It is the first hurdle that is most difficult to pass.

While fasting, it is the first pangs of hunger that you have to fight. After that, it is smooth sailing.

While running, early into the run, you will get an irresistible urge to give up. Resist that, and you are good to go.
